Witches are guardians of the village

Master teacher Dona Enriqueta is a curandera from Oaxaca. She is the only doctor and midwife in her community. She possesses the ancient wisdom of healing the physical and spiritual body using medicinal plants. According to her teachings all illnesses and all forms of disease are rooted in emotional trauma. It is the misunderstanding of how our emotional health is connected to our physical well being that prevents us from finding the cures to many diseases that have become epidemics in our communities.
